Giving

Here at St Michael’s we are very appreciative of your support, whichever form it takes:

Volunteering

Please contact the Church Administrator if you would like to give of your time to assist in some of our activities:

These are some of the roles you might like to consider:

  • Sidespersons who welcome people to services, hand out service books and attend to those who arrive late or need further assistance;
  • Chalice Assistants who administer the Chalice during communion services;
  • Tea/Coffee Rota Assistants who prepare, serve and tidy up after Morning Tea and Coffee following the Sunday 10.30am service;
  • Readers who provide new voices to lessons at our services;
  • Flower Arrangers who decorate our Church with seasonal joy;
  • Administration Assistants who do many things, such as compose our rotas;
  • Children’s Church Assistants who provide a simple child friendly interpretation of the Sunday lessons to children of St Michael’s and Mary Magdalen’s Churches.

Prayers

A simple thing to do, but of great encouragement to us to know that you are keeping us in your prayers. If you would like some inspiration, please see our Prayer Resources page here or you may contact Anthony by emailing vicar@smng.org.uk

Donate

Your kind financial assistance is greatly appreciated, whether in Church, online, by standing order or cheque, or indeed by leaving a bequest. The church is supported by an endowment for its maintenance and running costs but tries to be as self-sufficient as possible to enable endowment funds to be given to local charities instead. Donations enable the church to pay the vicar’s stipend, promote spiritual growth and meet the extra costs of keeping the church open every day. We thank you.

If you would like more information about ways to donate, Gift Aid your donation or for bank details please email finance@smng.org.uk or you can simply use JustGiving as below.

Just Giving enables you to Gift Aid your donation, if eligible as a UK taxpayer, by capturing your name and post code. It offers a choice of payment methods: bank transfer, debit/credit card, PayPal or Google Pay. There is an option to make your donation a regular monthly amount if you wish.
